Liza Steele was an absolute godsend during what is truly a trying process.  Working with her, we instantly had much more peace of mind and a stronger sense of confidence going into the heart of the admission season, with all the nonstop interviews and tours and playgroups.  She walked us through each of our choices, what to emphasize and to avoid in our applications and interview responses, how to prepare our child for the playgroups, and how to handle all of the last-minute strategizing during the home stretch of the process.  She was always super professional and responsive, even in crunch time when we reached out to her on short notice.  For any family applying to the top independent schools, their first order of business, even before the applications come out, should be to start working with Liza.

I wish we had known Avram Schlesinger when our older child was applying to college. Our son has ADHD, which means his student profile is more complex.

Avram has an intuitive way of connecting with students. He is direct, highly knowledgeable, and his sense of humor puts both parents and students at ease.

Avram possesses a deep understanding of students' profiles that we haven't seen in other college advisors. The value of having an outside professional, separate from the school and available for the student beyond just college advising, is significant. Avram facilitates a specific maturation process in college-bound students. The importance of finding a good fit plus the plethora of options can be a daunting task. We are grateful our son has Avram in his corner. 

Caitlin was an invaluable resource throughout our son’s kindergarten application process.  As non-Native New Yorkers we had very little insight into the inner workings of kindergarten admissions  and found Caitlin’s organized and genuine demeanor to be very refreshing throughout. Given that we knew very little about the true philosophies and ethos of many of the schools, we cast a wide net and applied to 10 different schools.  She was able to keep us on task through the hectic tour/open house/interview schedule—crucial for 2 working parents. Once we figured out our top 2 choices, she helped us put forth applications that were genuine to our child and our family. Our son was accepted to a school that we truly feel is the right fit for him and we are grateful to have had Caitlin guiding us. She is extremely principled, empathetic and diligent. We would highly recommend her to anyone confused by the process and in need of guidance.
